5 Tips for Making Better Cuts with Router Bits

If you are new to the whole Wood Router thing, then we have the perfect tips for you to ensure that you make clean and accurate cuts with the help of your Router Bits. By the way, if you still don’t have a good wood router then you should check out this buyer’s guide by HomeGuyd for the best wood routers.

Using a Router can be a little tricky if you haven’t had prior experience.

This is why we have listed down a few tips to make it easier for you to use this router and make the perfect cuts with it.

Tip 1: Install your bit accurately into the router

One of the most important tip to remember when making a cut with your router is that you have to ensure that you install your bit properly.

Keep on inserting it in the router until its bottom sticks out and then back it around 1/6th – 1/8th inches and then tighten your collets. If you don’t back the bits then the collet might tighten at the wrong part and your bit might come lose when you are using it.

Tip 2: Clear the wood chips regularly

Make sure that you clean your router after every few jobs so as to ensure that the chips don’t get accumulated in the wrong areas of the router. Make sure there aren’t any chips between the router plate and the workpiece or between your fence and workpiece. You can use a vacuum or a dust collection tool for this.

Tip 3: Keep a check on your bit speed

One important thing to keep in mind is that you need to keep a check on your bit speed and determine the speed according to the bit size. If the bit size is large, then your router will create more vibration so you need to use it at a lower speed. Always make sure that you use the appropriate bit speed for your router and always consider the feed rate, router horsepower, bit condition, and so on before you pick one for a project.

Tip 4: Route in the correct direction

If you are using a handheld router then you need to know that the bit will spin in a clockwise direction at a great speed.

So if you want to router the outer edges of a wood then you need to be careful and move your router in a counter-clockwise direction. If you are routing the inside edges of a frame, then make sure that you move the router in a clockwise direction.

Tip 5: Keep a check on the feed rate

Another important tip to remember when using a router is that always mind the feed rate. A feed rate is a speed at which the rotating bit will be moved along the edge of the wood. If you feed the wood too fast into the router, you will end up with a rough cut on your wood. If you feed it too slowly then you would end up with burn marks on your wood. So keep on practicing and keep a check on the feed rate.

Bikini Waxing- Before and After Tips to Follow

Are you a first timer in getting your bikini area waxed? It might seem to be a daunting and an uphill task to even think of how painful it can get, while ripping hair off your vaginal area. But do not get too much worked up on the same. It need not be as demystifying as you presume the first time experience to be.

When you book your first appointment with a salon expert for getting your bikini wax done, there are certain basic things which you need to keep in mind

Take a morning appointment

After a tired day’s work at office, those muscles near the tender vaginal area get jammed as well. The hair follicles in the vicinity get tighter and the experience is more dreadful than you imagined it to be. It is better, you get an appointment fixed in the early hours of the morning. Your muscles are less stressed out, when you wake up fresh in the morning. So head to the salon then.

It is a strict no no to go in for a bikini wax three days before you monthly periods, during the exact time when you have chums and four to five days after your chums get over. It is a kind of a teething time for the body to get accustomed to the hyper sensitivity. You can ideally go in for the coveted treatment ten days before or after, you are likely to get your chums.

Exfoliate Your G-Spot

Exfoliate your vaginal area on a periodic basis. This reduces the rate of ingrown hair to a visible extent. While you have already booked your first appointment for a bikini wax, it is ideal you do not shave your hair at home. You need to leave behind at least a quarter portion of your hair covering the G spot area. This enables the wax to catch hold of the hair and leave a clean bikini area once ripped off.

Take the first experience as it comes

Be cool! When you have the bikini area waxed for the very first time, it can be quite painful. The hair follicles are deeply rooted from within. When you get the area waxed, the hair follicles are pulled off directly from the root. It can sometimes cause bleeding as well. But the good news is, once you get away with the first one, your hair follicles get much thinner for the second one to turn out as pleasant as you want it to be.

Take it on a long haul

It is better you don’t get too overwhelmed and excited about the first bikini wax. I know it is fun to venture out to the beach with the swim wear revealing your flawless bikini line. Don’t spoil the complete experience by shaving or trimming your hair just before getting the thing waxed.

After the first experience, you need to regularly go for bikini wax once every four to six weeks. The hair growth is diminished with every sitting. Within 5 years, you have a laser removal effect with hair growth diminished by 75%. All you have is a clean and a clear bikini to show off!

A great experience at the spa

If you feel reluctant to get it done at home, you can head to a sophisticated spa which makes the experience a much better one. You can view the menu to visually feel the type of bikini wax, which you can aim for. The varieties include triangle, landing strip, V shape or Brazilian style. Opt straight for the Brazilian style which is more of a seamless experience, all together.

A tribute to Lola/i heart faces

I had been wanting to a do a tribute to Lola but I’ve just been to sad to do it. Then I seen the the I Heart Faces challenge this week is Pets and I knew that I had to.

Lola passed away about a week ago. Unfortunately I had to be the one to find her since it was always my morning ritual to let her out and feed her in the mornings. I knew right away. It was heartbreaking. And I just don’t think she knew how much I really loved her. I got so caught up with the kids, the house, work and being pregnant. I just didn’t have time for her. And the kids loved her but she loved to knock them over so they’d climb up in their playhouse to escape.

This is her soon after we had gotten her. My husband took her and had her toenails painted pink. I know that she just loved the pampering.

She was fat, smelly, followed me everywhere. Stared at me constantly. Didn’t bark but constantly snorted like a pig. She ALWAYS thought that she was hungry. She loved to steal little Luke’s string cheese out of his hand. Her long strings of slobber drove me nuts because she’d always shake them off in the kitchen, landing on the fridge, stove or right where I’d walk. But as crazy as all of that made me I still loved her and of course since she’s gone I realize that I loved her more than even I knew.

The day before she passed I noticed that she didn’t seem herself. She wasn’t starving, not trying to knock down the kids and wasn’t even staring me down at the back door while I ate.  I warmed up some grilled chicken and sat outside in the grass with her.  She seemed to really love it.  I don’t know if it was me or the chicken that she enjoyed more.  But I’m grateful that I took that time for her because I had no idea that it would be the last time I’d get to be with her.  I miss her.

    • You need to exfoliate at least 2 times per week. In case your skin around your facial region is dry or highly sensitive, you can exfoliate thrice a week. This makes sure you reveal healthy cells from the bottom layers of the skin, bringing out a healthy glow. You can ensure your face looks healthier and there is absolutely no build up of dirt or oil to clog the pores of your skin.
    • Whatever be your skin type, make sure you wash your face every day. Use a mild cleanser or a face wash rather than using soap. If you have applied make-up, make sure you dip cotton balls with almond oil and gently remove the makeup across your cheeks, lips and eye region. After the make-up is cleaned up, dip a clean piece of linen in warm water and keep the cloth on your face. Extra make-up that remains even after the clean-up is done is absorbed in the water. And all you can rave about is clean and clear skin.
    • To get rid of pimples or acne, you have got an exciting and an interesting tip. Apply a small dab of toothpaste across the area where you have pimples. You can leave the toothpaste on, for 10 minutes or so. This helps the pimples get dried up and they would disappear.

Sweeten Creek Antiques Puppy Love

Since our slobbery, fat Lola passed away a few weeks ago there has definitely been an emptiness in our home.  At first the boys didn’t talk about her being gone much but lately they she is all they talk about.  We decided that we really miss have a dog in our lives and started looking for a puppy.  Meet Fiona, she is tiny, spunky and hates to be alone.

She is such a cuddler and she sure hates bedtime.  I think she would be happy if she was permanently attached to one of us for the whole day.  I have a feeling that I’m going to have one jealous dog once the baby gets here!
